Be inspired…

Do what you love and love what you do…

Sometimes without even knowing it you are causing a ripple effect with dreaming your dream and just doing it.

I myself, hope that I do this with my children. Working hard in life in any manner builds character and just tells your spirit you can do anything if you try.

I can honesty say, I love what I do everyday.  I may be a little stressed out at times or want to just take a stay vacation and say “calgon, take me away”!

You younger generation have no idea what I am talking about but the “hip older generation does”…

If I did not design jewels everyday, I think I would have missed my calling. I know why I am here and what I am supposed to do,  I think?

5 Tips to help you run a successful business…

I am not the expert on success but what I am an expert on is “working hard”!

I do not work for money, I work because I love what I do. I have a few tips to help you find success in your life that translates to accomplishment in your financial life.

1. Find what you love…

That could mean, you love people.

You love to invest money.

You love the rush of jumping out of a plane. (Cray, Cray people)

You love to write.

*Find a way to JUST DO IT!

2. Develop a plan…

Look, dreaming about doing something in your head will never get you anywhere, it’s a dream. Take that dream out of your head and put it on paper. It may take you weeks to figure out exactly what that dream is on paper but it developes into a plan with out you even realizing it. It is your roadmap.

3. Do not work for money…

The minute you start your roadmap and all you can think about is “money”, it will never work. You have to think of this as a labor of love and “love is in the details”. Sometimes when the main focus is money, you look at it like; what is the fasted way I can accomplish this? Wrong approach. There is “no overnight success” and if there is, it is very rare.

4. If you can, always own your own business…

Work for someone else, develop your plan in baby steps. Leave, take your chance on yourself…

Doing something right is the most important thing you can do. Make everyday, a day forward to where you will be working for your own business and loving what you do.

5. Work Hard and I mean hard…

My husband often asks me: Do you really need the money that bad?

Note: We own and operate several restaurants in MD, VA. They are successful because we worked for 10 years very hard. The first 5 years, my husband worked 18 hours a day, one day off. I did all of the financials from home to raise our children. Was it my dream? No, it was my husbands, so I worked as hard as him to help him achieve this life long dream of owning and operating a business to be proud of.

My dream was to be a jewelry designer. I have designed for 15 years but just did shows here and their. I knew I was talented because I loved it and I sold everything out every-time.

I taught myself day and night new techniques and would just sit for hours upon hours creating these little sparklers. I love what I do and very big things are happening for our little train that could.

The truth is; I do not do this for the money, I do this because I am involved in so many of life’s special moments it is unreal. My jewelry is worn, loved and passed along as gifts, moments in time to be remembered.

Like a Bride designing a necklace for her “bridesmaids”. (They will always remember, where/how/who gave this to them.) It’s almost like a song that brings you back to a very special moment or a place in time.

A wife purchasing a “love link” bracelet for her husband that shows her devotion and love to him.

A friend who purchases our Initial birthstone necklace for a new mother to be. Emotional, loving and I get to be there without being there.

A Mother who designs a “keepsake” necklace for her daughter that has her initial on one side and the daughter on the other. Cherished for life.

I want to create and be part of memories in people’s lives. It makes me happy and fulfilled….

Musical Clarity

Have you ever listened to song and gotten so lost in the lyrics that for a moment you take a step away from reality and just think? Think about it. There has to be that one song that brings back feelings from a past relationship, a family member, and things about yourself that you never really wanted to think about again. It is like you hate it but you cannot stop thinking about it because it is so captivating in itself, but it also is a reminder of what had once been such a big or important part of your life.

Music has always been a huge part of my life, so I may be a little bit biased about this one post, but I believe that a good song, or a good piece of music, can always hit you a certain way. It can make you happy, sad, confused, liberated, determined, and scared. Music can be taken so many different ways, and that decision is truly in the hands of the audience.

Picture this. You are in a crowded room and everyone is talking about unimportant things like the “he said, she said” dramatic tangents that have so easily taken control of almost all conversations. You cannot stand the thought of being interested in these conversations, but you aren’t really sure how to get away from them. You walk away but somehow these conversations seem to be stuck in your mind, and you feel like the walls are caving in on you. As you start getting aggravated and slightly paranoid, you realize that you have your earphones in your pocket of your jacket that in a way seems to be suffocating you. You take them out and you put on your favorite song. This song helps you to get away from what is making you feel so disgusted. It takes you away from the reality of the situation and you can finally just think.

Music, as silly as this may sound, is the saving grace in many peoples lives. How can one not fully appreciate music. It has so many different emotions in just 3 minutes and a couple verses. It tells a story, whether it be about love, triumph, sadness, and loss. A song is equivalent to a 500 page book, in my eyes. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end, and somewhere in all that mix you get lost in something so much bigger.

Music is a dance party, a cry session, and everything in between. It is about love, heartbreak, and some points…drinking a beer and riding that big green tractor.

Music is a message sent out to masses, and I think that’s beautiful.

Have you just ever felt like this?

We all have days where we feel like the world is caving in on us, don’t we?  Sometimes,  I feel like I am the only one. To be honest, usually I am “happy-go-lucky” all the time. In fact, my husband always looks at me in times of trouble and says “you just don’t have a care in the world”!  Always perplexed with him looking at me like that, I just node, laugh and say no! I have always looked at things as if they were meant to happen and it is all in how you handle it. I am very good under pressure, I always have been but this week, I just want to pull my hair out.

Here, let me explain…

1. Leaving a house I grew up in since I was a child.

 2. Being self-employed, the bank is driving me crazy.

  3. A good friend will not speak to me and I don’t know

what I did?

4. My daughter is getting married…

5. Everyone wants something from me.

6. My house is a cluster f@%k with furniture, lighting

and accessories for the new house everywhere.

That is why I feel like this…

These are all the great things that come out of the bad…

1. My daughter and her fiancé are moving into the house I grew up in…

2. We are blessed beyond belief to have what we have…

3. Maybe that friend is not worth the aggregation if they

do not have the time or patience to explain why… a blessing in disguise…

4. My daughter is getting married to her perfect guy…

5. At least someone wants something from you and you are not alone…

6. Well, that I need a magic wand, it is still a cluster f@%k…

There is always a silver lining in life. Don’t forget to remember that when your hands are in your hair and you want to scream and hit your head against the wall:)

The Sunday Blue’s

Well guys, it’s Sunday, and that means it is time to prepare for the week ahead. I always think of Sunday as a day of rest for most of us, but I never realized how annoying it really is. Sunday is not really the day where you get to watch movies and relax with your friends. Its the day where you make the finishing touches on your paper, rehearse your presentation, and cram for the test in the following week.

Sunday is the most terrifying day for the procrastinators of the world. We always say, “Oh I don’t have anything to do Sunday, so I will wait to do all my work then!” Well..its sunday and guess what I am doing..

Drinking some coffee and doing everything possible not to start my homework

I really really REALLY do not want to pack my backpack and head to that library because I will not come out alive!

Procrastination is a terrible thing, folks. When will I learn? I wish I had somewhere there to tell me when to do my work and when I make an excuse not to they will smack me in the face! Sounds brutal but it would definitely work. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to getting things done in a timely manner, and I know many of you see the same qualities in yourself.

I always underestimate how I will be feeling when I finally do have to finish my work. I always think I will finally be ready to get it done, and be a champ finishing it all. But NOOOOOOO SIR I am wreckless. Senioritis has kicked in and I am feeling like a goner.

What do I do to get out of this mess? This horrible awful no good mess that I have so easily gotten myself into.

I find that I am always writing this blog with how to’s and answers to problems, but I am at a loss and need your help on this one. I need some serious school work help and I need it now! Before it’s too late 😉
